Animal Welfare

First of all I would like to point out that Animal welfare is a subject that we have raised in our first few days in the Town Hall. The allocation of the actual duties for the specific councillors have not been fully ratified. This will be done officially at the Pleno on Friday next. I dont know who it was that made an appointment with Mark Lewis, but it certainly wasn't me. I will, If allocated, the role of looking after the animals, to meet with, in the very near future, all the Animal Charities that operate in the area, to discuss their needs and the services that they can provide for the abandoned animals in the Urbanisations.
I would encourage all the animal charities to continue with their good work in the meantime. Remember that the Police should always be called for abandoned animals. We are only three days into the new legislatura, with so many things that need to be addressed.
